Daffodils straightened themselves out after the heavy snow and ice from last week melted. The trees are budding and violets are popping up through last autumn’s leaves. Squirrels are busy on the green grass, racing up and down the trees. I think spring is here.
It’s time for warm weather running and dodging raindrops. Thunderstorms emerge out of the morning fog to flood the trails underfoot. Leaves unfurl overhead offering some protection from the downpour. I think spring is here.
The ice cream truck plays its Siren song enticing all the kids to run after it for a treat. I run too with loose change in my hand, spending it all on a cone. Yes, spring is here.
