Since I’ve moved to Philadelphia, I have found some new running buddies who challenge me and keep me motivated. These ladies are fast and fabulous, so I’ll have to try and keep up.
This past weekend, we ran along the Schuylkill River Trail towards Philadelphia. The morning was frosty, and the crew teams were busy setting up for the regatta. Sculls lined the trail for over a mile, and schools from all over the East Coast were there. Crew teams carried water, and plastic bags stretched thin with food lined their arms.
The miles ticked quickly by as we dodged spectators and teams alike–past the Philadelphia Museum of Art and back up the opposite side of the banks for a spectacular view of Boat House Row. I’ll never get tired of that sight, and I’m forever grateful that I found new runners to run with me.
